Our staff are well trained with required skill. sets and volume of cases to ensure hands on experience to all the trainees and achieve competence in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

  • Areas of expertise include oral and maxillofacial pathology, Dentoalveolar surgery ,Pre prosthetic surgery, Implantology and Maxillofacial trauma, Minor oral surgery
  • Areas of competence involve orthognathic surgery tempero mandibular joint surgery and local reconstructive surgery
  • Area of familiarity are Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate surgery , reconstructive surgery ,  oncologic surgery , craniofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery.

Undergraduate Training

The oral surgical curriculum for undergraduates is split into two parts with the trainees being exposed to basics of local anaesthesia and management of medical emergencies at the chair side in the III year and the core maxillofacial surgery in the final year of Under graduation.

Postgraduate Training

Involves the Diagnosis and treatment of

  • Dental infections, Benign and Malignant pathology, Cysts, tumors etc.
  • Congenital craniofacial malformations such as cleft lip & palate and cranial vault malformations such as craniosynostosis.
  • Soft & hard tissue trauma of oral & Maxillofacial region,
  • Facial deformity, TMJ Disorders, Chronic facial pain disorders etc
  • Treatment of Salivary gland disorders
  • Orthognathic Surgeries
  • Resection and Reconstruction
  • Dental Implants.
  • Management of medical emergencies on dental chair
  • Bridges the gap between Dentistry and Medicine

Intensive Surgical Training Program with Skin to skin Hands on Guidance

The trainees are exposed to complete spectrum of maxillofacial surgeries during their tenure and are provided with an opportunity to pursue advanced training.

  • Each trainee undergoes hands-on training on all minor and major surgeries under direct supervision.
