World No Tobacco Day Celebration at Rama Dental College Promoting Tobacco-Free Living and Better Oral Health

World No Tobacco Day was observed at Rama Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Rama University, Kanpur, with a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use and encouraging a tobacco-free lifestyle.

Tobacco Cessation Counseling and Screening

Faculty members and postgraduate students actively participated in free tobacco cessation counseling and screening programs conducted from 29th May 2026 to 3rd June 2026. Patients visiting the institution were educated about the adverse effects of tobacco consumption and motivated to quit tobacco use through personalized counseling sessions.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy Support

To assist individuals willing to quit tobacco, free nicotine replacement chewing gums were distributed to patients requiring nicotine replacement therapy. This initiative was undertaken to support tobacco cessation efforts and improve the success rate of quitting tobacco.

Oral Health Outreach and Screening Program

An extensive oral health outreach and screening program was organized from 29th May 2026 to 3rd June 2026 at Rama Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre. Approximately 350 patients were screened for various oral health problems.
